Objective: To avoid being in the middle.
Materials: A dodgeball
How to Play: Have all students stand to form a circle. Choose one student to stand in the center of the circle. The students in the circle should start passing the ball to one another. The ball may be thrown to anyone in the circle and at any speed. The person in the center should try to intercept the ball. When the player in the middle gets hold of the ball, the last person to touch it trades places and goes to the middle. If someone throws a ball that goes way out of the circle or is not catchable, that player takes a turn in the middle. Play continues until the leader stops the game.
