Healing Naaman

Objective: To be the fastest team to wrap and unwrap Naaman

Materials: Toilet paper, one per group of 5-7 students

How to Play: Divide students into equal teams of 5-7. Have each team choose one person to be Naaman. The remaining students in the team should divide in half to be designated wrappers and unwrappers. Give the wrappers a roll of toilet paper. On the signal “GO,” all the wrappers should race to wrap Naaman from head to toe in bandages (the toilet paper.) They must use the whole roll, and leave room for Naaman’s mouth and nose to breathe! Then, they can run back to their remaining teammates, give them the empty toilet paper roll. Before they can go, Naaman must dip himself up and down seven times while the team counts to seven. Then, they take the roll and race to help Naaman by unwrapping him and wrapping as much as possible back onto the roll. The first team finished wins.

Alternate version: Divide students into equal teams of 5-7. Have each team choose one person to be Naaman. The remaining students should each be given a different number. When the leader calls a number, that player must run to Naaman and start wrapping. They continue wrapping until the leader calls another number, and the player with that number runs to Naaman and continues the wrapping. Once Naaman is wrapped, Naaman must dip himself up and down seven times while the team counts to seven (other teams may still be wrapping). Then, once Namaan has been “healed,” all the team members can race to unwrap him. The first team finished wins.
