Objective:
To score as many goals as possible.
Materials Needed:
- 2 hula-hoops
- 5 to 10 inflated balloons
- 2 adults to hold the hula-hoops as goals
Game Setup:
- Have two adults hold a hula-hoop as the goal for each team. Position them at opposite ends of the playing area.
- Divide the players into two teams. Have each team line up at opposite ends of the playing area.
- Place the balloons in the middle of the playing area.
How to Play:
- On the “go” signal, players rush to the balloons and try to score by getting the balloons through their team’s hula-hoop.
- Balloons can be batted, kicked, blown, or thrown but not carried.
- Each successful balloon through the hula-hoop scores one point for the team.
- Play continues until one team reaches a set number of points or until time runs out.
- To prevent balloon popping, assign a point penalty for intentionally popping a balloon.
Pro Tips:
- The adults holding the hula-hoops can move around slightly to increase the challenge.
- Consider having the adults lower or raise the hula-hoops to adjust the difficulty for younger or older children.
- Ensure there is enough space to prevent players from running into each other.
