Objective:
Have fun and stay in the game by avoiding being tagged or sitting down.
Materials Needed:
- One beach ball
Game Setup:
- Have all players stand close together in the center of the playing area.
- No teams are required, and there is no set number of winners.
How to Play:
- The game leader starts by throwing the beach ball into the air over the players.
- The first player to grab the ball can take three steps in any direction.
- They have five seconds to decide whether to throw the ball up into the air again or aim to tag another player by throwing it at them.
- If a player is tagged by the ball, they must sit down.
- If a player catches the ball thrown at them, the player who threw the ball must sit down instead.
- Any player who is sitting down can get back up if they are able to grab the ball without moving from their seated spot and successfully tag a standing player.
- Play continues until you decide to restart the game, or if you prefer, declare the remaining standing players as winners and begin a new round.
Pro Tips:
- Ensure players throw the ball gently to avoid injury or overly aggressive play.
- Set clear boundaries for where players can move to prevent players from wandering too far from the play area.
- Use a lightweight beach ball to minimize the risk of injury if someone gets hit.
- Remind players to avoid diving or lunging to grab the ball to prevent collisions or falls.
