Two Balloons Can Be the Same Yet Different

Truth Taught:

Jesus is unique, even if He appears similar to others on the surface.

Materials:

Two balloons (one filled with helium, one without)

Instructions

  1. Hold two identical balloons and ask: Do you see any differences? (No.)
  2. Let go of both balloons, allowing one to float and the other to fall. Ask: Do you see any differences now? (Yes, one floats, one sinks.)
  3. Explain that while Jesus may appear similar to other religious leaders, what’s inside is different—He is God.
  4. Discuss Jesus’ unique authority and power, reading Mark 9:2–8 (Transfiguration) and Matthew 8:23–27 (Calming the storm).
