At Crossroads Kids Club, our board, staff, and church council members form a community of believers in Jesus who are committed to living according to the principles of Christian conduct found in the Bible and aligned with our statement of faith. Our utmost desire is to glorify God in all we do, say, and think. We seek to follow the example of Jesus by loving the Lord with all we are and loving our neighbors as ourselves. We also believe that a culture of accountability and transparency helps preserve the ministry’s integrity. To that end, we are committed to the following in our private and public conduct.

1. Loving God and others

  • We strive to honor God in every aspect of our ministry and personal lives, reflecting his love in our interactions with one another and all people believing that love for God and love for others are the greatest commandments. (Matthew 22:37-39)
  • We regularly participate in the life of a local church. We do this to foster spiritual growth and Christian community and because the Scripture exhorts us to do so. (Hebrews 10:24-25)
  • We carefully avoid even a hint of harassment, bullying, or demeaning behavior, and we address conflicts with grace and truth, along with a desire for understanding and reconciliation. (1 Peter 3:8)
  • We express gratitude to those who support Crossroads Kids Club, and interactions with all stakeholders will be characterized by kindness, generosity, grace, and respect. (Ephesians 4:32)

2. Following the Bible’s commands regarding our personal conduct

  • We abstain from activities that the Scripture forbids, including but not limited to dishonesty, sexual immorality, drunkenness, gossiping, and the termination of human life. (Galatians 5:19-21)
  • We seek to cultivate the “fruit of the spirit” in our lives, replacing deeds of the flesh with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. (Galatians 5:22-23)
  • We endeavor to glorify the Lord and honor this ministry and all it represents in our personal and online interactions.

3. Demonstrating integrity with the things God has entrusted to us

  • We treat all resources entrusted to Crossroads as gifts from God, using them responsibly and transparently to fulfill the ministry’s mission. (1 Chronicles 29:14)
  • We insure ethical and documented financial practices and procedures are followed, refraining from excessive expenses or bribes. (Proverbs 11:1, Proverbs 13:11)
  • We use ministry assets to advance its mission, ensuring proper maintenance and safeguarding. (Luke 16:10)
  • We handle all personal information provided by to us with strict confidentiality, ensuring that the privacy and trust of others is robustly protected. (Proverbs 11:13, Matthew 6:3-4, 1 Corinthians 4:2)

Crossroads exists for the glory of God and to reach the next generation with the Good News of Jesus. To protect and preserve the integrity of our mission, we agree that if any one of us in this community becomes aware that someone else in the ministry is not honoring this Code of Conduct, it should be handled in accordance with the principles Jesus outlines in Matthew 18:15-17.
