How Many Lions in the Den?

Materials: None

How to play: Have the children run around the room in a circle (in a gym around the edges of the basketball court works well.) You will call out, “How Many Lions in the Den?” and then shout a number. For example “Three lions in the den!” Children must form groups of three. Anyone who doesn’t find a group goes to sit in the center of the playing area, and the children still in play can continue running in a circle around them. Repeat calling out different numbers for groups to form. The game is finished when you have one or two remaining children left who are the winners.
